David D. Fleming Group Senior Vice President David Fleming joined Genzyme in 1984. He oversees worldwide operations and distribution for the Genzyme Diagnostics business unit. He is also responsible for corporate initiatives including e-business strategy, payment and health care delivery policy and Medicare reform. Prior to Genzyme, Mr. Fleming held general management, sales and marketing positions during 11 years at Baxter International with an emphasis on diagnostics, therapeutics and international business development. He began his career as a high school teacher. Mr. Fleming has an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.A. from the College of Wooster.
